Ever since the Rock Fraggle had been held prisoner, what felt like quite some time ago now, Cave Fraggles had started branching off, curious about the world as Mokey had explained it; had seen it. Punzie was one of those Cave Fraggles. Just over a week ago, she'd set off with just some radishes and the coat on her back - the hat had been forgotten, her short hair now free to bounce as she moved - and since then, she had seen precious few other Fraggles, but had discovered many, many other things!

One of those things was that music was everywhere. It went far beyond a song sung or words chanted. And oh, did music - free and natural music - move her. Because of this, she often sang as she continued her journey through the underground, further and further from Fraggle Cave.

"♫I wanna break every rule and cross every line
I wanna show all the stars how stars oughta shine
I wanna do as I please, and knock the world to its knees
And go wherever the breeze is going!♪"

She turned a tunnel's corner as she sang, head held high. It felt so good to be out here, like it was where she should have been all this time.

"♫Next stop: anywhere
Got a whole wide world to see, nothing's stopping me
Next stop: anywhere
'Cause there's so much waiting, I know it's waiting
I feel it waiting out there
Everywhere...♪"

A little further into the tunnels, Bridge was sitting on a rock formation, tuning his guitar a bit as he tried to think of a new song. Different tunes and melodies floated in his mind, but he was having trouble focusing on one or trying to piece any of them together. Cantus had suggested taking a walk to clear his mind, but so far he wasn't having any luck.

As he started idly plucking at the guitar strings, though, he caught the sound of singing echoing in the cave walls. It didn't sound like any of the other minstrels, though. So, curiosity getting the better of him, he climbed down from the rocks and followed where he thought the voice was coming from.

"Oh!" Punzie startled some when Bridge came into her view, but she looked at him with a gentle smile once she recovered from her surprise. "Hello, I haven't seen anyone around for a long time! What's your name?"

He stopped slightly short upon finding her, not expecting to run into anyone so soon. But he managed a smile of his own as he replied, "Ah, sorry. My name's Bridge. What's yours?"

"I'm Punzie, it's nice to meet you." Her eyes wandered to Bridge's guitar, and her smile became a grin. "Oh! You play music!"

"It's nice to meet you too."

With a grin of his own, he nodded. "Sure do! Speaking of music, though, was that you I heard singing earlier?"

"Oh! That's just something I kind of... Made up, I guess!" She paused, then, and shook her head. "No, no that's not quite right... I wouldn't say I made it up so much as I put words to what I was hearing all around. Do you know what that's like?"

He nodded. "I do, actually." Then he laughed. "Sometimes, it's just trying to get it all to stop that I have a problem with." He strummed his guitar a bit. "If you don't mind, though, could I hear it again?"

"Well, sure!" Punzie said, although she hesitated immediately after. She wasn't used to having an audience, after all... "Um, would you mind looking away, maybe, though?"

He blinked, a little surprised by the request. But still he nodded and dutifully turned around.

That brought her calm and comfort, and she started to sing her song once more - and as she got lost to the music, she even began to dance, twirling this way and that, without even knowing she was doing so.

He couldn't help smiling as he listened to the unrestrained joy in her voice, reflected in the words. Bobbing his head along with melody, he then began strumming his guitar along with the song.

She may not have realized she was dancing, but she certainly noticed his guitar music, and it enchanted her. She finished her song then reached for Bridge's shoulder, tapping it to indicate he could turn around now.

"That was so incredible!"

Turning back around, he grinned at her. "Yeah, that was great! You sound amazing."

She giggled and ducked her head. "Well, thanks! And what about you on the guitar? That was wonderful!"

His smile brightened. "Thanks! I've been playing since I was a little Fraggle."

"Oh, how sweet! There were never a lot of instruments around when I was little," she admitted with a shrug. "But music has always been there."

In one form or another, at least.

"Hey, instruments don't necessarily make the music! Like Cantus always says, music is everywhere. You just need to listen for it."

Punzie smiles - she doesn't know who Cantus is, being a sheltered Fraggle from the Cave, where such a group as the Minstrels only recently would have been even welcomed to step foot. But the sentiment, that resonates with her.

"That's so true!"

He grins, then snaps a finger. "Hey, since you think so, you should meet 'im! I bet Cantus would love to meet you too."

"Oh? You want me to meet your friend?" Punzie hesitated, but just for a moment, at that suggestion. "Well... Alright. I mean, why not?"

"Great! I bet you'd really like him." He should...probably tell Cantus first, though. "When would be good for you?"
